What the Card Includes (and What It Doesn't)

The headline is simple: free admission to about 80 museums, monuments, castles and Royal Residences across Turin and Piedmont, plus reduced rates at roughly 50 more. What matters is which doors carry that number, and the two things the card does not do.

The doors that carry the card

The Egyptian Museum is the reason most people buy it. The world’s oldest museum of Egyptian antiquities, the most important collection outside Cairo, and Turin’s one genuinely crowded ticket. Free with every tier; book a time slot anyway. The playbook.

The Musei Reali put the Royal Palace, the Armoury, the Sabauda Gallery and the archaeological collections behind one entrance. Half a day, one card tap, €15 at the gate otherwise.

The Cinema Museum fills the Mole Antonelliana, the building on every Turin postcard. One asterisk: the panoramic lift is a separate ticket, about €5 on top of a combined entry, and it closes on Tuesdays.

The residences ring is the card’s second act. Venaria’s Versailles-scale palace, Stupinigi’s hunting lodge, the Piedmont castles. This is what the 3- and 5-day tiers are for.

The list runs on from there: MAO’s Asian art, the Automobile Museum, Palazzo Madama and dozens of smaller doors. The board recommends booking admissions online once you hold the card.

What it doesn’t do

City transport is not included. No trams, no metro, no buses. Card holders can buy a reduced multi-day transport ticket, but only in person at the Tourist Office, and the Arriva airport bus gives a small discount. In practice the centre walks well: the Egizio, the Reali and the Mole sit within fifteen minutes of each other.

And Mondays are quiet. Most museums close, the card’s clock keeps running, so plan around it.

The child policy

Each adult card takes one child under 12 along free with the same benefits. Under-18s enter Italy’s state and municipal museums free regardless, and a Junior card covers the in-between cases.
